Matt Eastman
Vice President
Matt Eastman joined Baker Street Advisors in 2019 and serves as a Vice President at the firm. He works directly with clients to develop and implement coordinated strategies across investments, tax planning, estate planning, charitable giving, and other areas of financial complexity. His work is particularly focused on helping families navigate significant liquidity events, concentrated stock positions, and the transition from concentrated wealth to a diversified, durable long-term portfolio.
In partnership with clients’ advisors, attorneys, and tax professionals, Matt helps evaluate the trade-offs among investment, tax, estate, and liquidity decisions and translate them into a practical, integrated plan. His responsibilities include strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection, tax-aware diversification, and the ongoing oversight of customized client portfolios.
Matt also helps lead Baker Street’s investment manager research efforts, overseeing the sourcing, evaluation, and monitoring of external managers across public and private markets. He plays a central role in the firm’s manager selection process and contributes to the continued development of Baker Street’s broader investment philosophy and portfolio framework.
Before joining Baker Street, Matt worked in the finance department of a leading global semiconductor company headquartered in San Jose, where he supported corporate finance and accounting initiatives across multiple teams within the CFO organization.
Matt earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from St. Bonaventure University, where he was a four-year member of the Division I baseball team. He also earned an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Matt received the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2021 and is an active member of both CFA Institute and CFA Society San Francisco.
