Peter Hand

Peter Hand joined Baker Street Advisors in 2024 as its first Chief Investment Officer to lead the firm’s Investment Strategy Group(ISG).  Peter is responsible for portfolio construction, risk management and asset allocation as well as consistently applying and enhancing the firm’s investment philosophy in client specific work and communications.  He also serves on the Investment Committee and Investment Advisory Board.

Prior to joining Baker Street, Peter was the Director of Quantitative Strategies at Aperio Group, where he was instrumental in building the firm’s research team and spearheading innovations in taxable asset allocation and portfolio customization. Earlier in his career, Peter held various senior positions at Barclays Global Investors, including Head of U.S. Research for the Defined Contribution Group and Research Officer for their flagship global macro hedge fund.

Peter holds a B.A. in Economics and Politics from Princeton University and has published on after-tax asset management in journals such as the Financial Analysts Journal and Journal of Portfolio Management. He resides in Portland, Oregon, and enjoys standup paddle surfing.
