William Lesik

William Lesik joined Baker Street Advisors in 2026 and currently serves as a manager within the firm’s Investment Strategy Group. In this role, he focuses on private markets research, portfolio construction, and investment due diligence across both public and private markets, with an emphasis on integrating tax-aware strategies into client portfolios. He partners with advisors on the design and implementation of customized investment solutions across private equity, private credit, and real assets. 

William plays a central role in the firm’s private markets efforts, supporting manager sourcing, evaluation, and ongoing monitoring across both funds and direct investment opportunities. He contributes to portfolio construction decisions, strategic asset allocation frameworks, and the continued evolution of the firm’s approach to after-tax investment outcomes. 

Prior to joining Baker Street, William served as Director of Investment Underwriting at the DCA Family Office, where he led the sourcing, evaluation, and execution of private markets investments for a large single-family office. During his tenure, he helped build and deploy a $600+ million private markets portfolio across 30+ investments, generating over 750 basis points of tax alpha and deferring more than $100 million in taxes through tax-advantaged strategies. He has also published research on tax-aware private markets investing in the Journal of Wealth Management. 

Previously, William was at Wilshire Advisors, where he focused on private markets manager selection and portfolio construction across a $30+ billion platform, supporting approximately $2 billion of annual commitments. He executed over 25 investments spanning primary funds, co-investments, and secondaries. 

William began his career at the Desjardins Group Pension Plan, where he gained experience across private equity, real estate, and public markets. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Financial Analysis from California State University, Northridge.
